Bird Cage Receiving Blanket

A friend of mine needed a blanket for a gift.
This is what I came up with. I think it turned out so cute and is one of my favorites.

Baby Quilt

I can finally post this. A few months ago I started this quilt for a friend of ours baby. They wanted something unique to their baby room theme and so this is what I came up with. Some of the pictures are hard to see, but I think it turned out pretty cute. I hope that they like it! 

In this picture you can still see the hoop ring, but I did hand quilt it. My mom (a big time quilter) says they call it utility quilting, to me it's as small as I can quilt! :)

 

 

The theme of the room is West Texas! This is what West Texas is.... Oil fields, cactus and ranching! They have painted his room so cute. You can check it out here! The back has cowboys with tans, browns and blues to mach the room!

I made him a receiving blanket as well, but somehow forgot to get a picture! I'll try to update later with one!

*** Here is the receiving blanket I made Clayton. This fabric is the same that is on the back of the quilt!
